Sunderland Carers Centre has rounded up five high-profile patrons to help us reach out to people caring for friends, loved ones, relatives, parents and children who are unaware they could be getting a helping hand.
The patrons – TV’s Jeff Brown, radio’s Simon Grundy, Sunderland skipper Luke O’Nien, FA Cup winning legend Jimmy Montgomery and Spanish City owner Paul Mackings – generously gave up their time to appear in a video that they hope will encourage more people to access the services at Sunderland Carers Centre.
Our “Do You Care?”, video pitches various caring scenarios – everyday activities that are commonplace or routine to people doing them, but mean the world to those being helped.
There are thousands of people across Sunderland currently taking time out of their day to help others. The hard part of what we do is not helping carers, it’s finding carers to let them know we’re here for them.
