Speakeasy Course for Parent Carers

Sunderland Carers' Centre is offering a Speakeasy course for parent carers designed to:

  • give them confidence to be able to know how to talk to their child about growing up
  • meet other parents in a similar situation
  • share ideas about supporting their child through adolescence.

The course is not specifically designed for parents of disabled children, however, we are hoping that the course will still be a great opportunity for parents to share some of their ideas, concerns and aspirations for their children.

All the sessions will be supported by a member of staff from the Carers' Centre.

The course will run from Friday 4th October, 10am - 12 noon, and every Friday until Friday 29th November (except half term) at Washington Primary Care Centre, Princess Anne Park, Park Way, Washington NE38 7QZ.

To book a place please contact Lisa Watson at the Carers' Centre on (0191) 549 3768.
